The world's premier Barbra Streisand impressionist and foremost Judy Garland interpreter unite for a one-night only concert to benefit Season of Concern Chicago. Award-winner Angela Ingersoll received national acclaim starring as Judy Garland onstage in End of the Rainbow, and an Emmy Award nomination for Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland on PBS. Together, these two blazing stars combine their uncanny acts for an unforgettable concert that's hilarious, heartfelt, and bursting with pride. STEVEN BRINBERG is widely regarded as the world’s premier Barbra Streisand impressionist. For over 25 years, the award-winning actor has toured his original show Simply Barbra, which he updates regularly. Brinberg's homage has played to acclaim in New York City's 54 Below, London's West End, Dublin, Toronto, Sydney, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Puerto Vallarta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco; earning 2 MAC Awards, a Bistro Award, and a Robby Award nomination for Theater and Cabaret in Los Angeles. Brinberg also toured for a decade with Marvin Hamlisch and his symphony orchestra as a special guest star. He made his Broadway debut in the concert version of Funny Girl with Whoopi Goldberg. ANGELA INGERSOLL is an award-winning actor, singer, director, and writer. She headlines stages nationwide in Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland, and received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance in the concert's broadcast on PBS. She also won acclaim starring as Judy Garland in several productions of End of the Rainbow, winning Chicago’s Jeff Award, a Broadway- World Award, and Los Angeles Times Woman of the Year in Theatre. Attracting the attention of Garland’s family, she collaborated onstage with Joey Luft, earning the title “heiress apparent to the Garland legacy.” Theatre: Follies in concert (Sally), How to Succeed in Business... Founded in 1987, SEASON OF CONCERN CHICAGO is dedicated to providing financial assistance to all Chicagoland theater practitioners impacted by illness, injury or circumstance. SOC provides short-term emergency financial aid to theater workers through both The Biscotto-Miller Fund and The Malcolm Ewen Emergency Fund. Originally formed to assist those afflicted with AIDS-related illnesses, Season of Concern continues to support Chicago-based direct care HIV/AIDS organizations and has expanded its mission and support to meet the greater health needs of the Chicagoland theater community. Season of Concern relies on fundraising and donations to complete its mission, and to date has distributed more than $4 million to those in need.
