SARAH SIDDONS SOCIETY HONORS BETH LEAVEL

Chicago's Sarah Siddons Society, which funds college scholarships for young theatre artists, will present its annual Sarah Siddons Society Award to Broadway favorite Beth Leavel. The honor, given in honor of Level's outstanding artistic achievement in theatre, will be bestowed at the Society's 2025 benefit, planned for November 17, 2025 at The Arts Club in Chicago. Leavel is a Tony winner for her performance in The Drowsy Chaperone, and was last seen on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends.

“It is an honor for the Sarah Siddons Society to present Chicago’s oldest and most prestigious theatre award this year to Beth Leavel," says Society President Martin Balogh in a statement. "Beth, with her powerful vocal skills and impeccable comedic timing, has brought an incredible authenticity to each of her fifteen Broadway roles. We could not be more pleased than to present the Sarah Siddons Society Award to this immensely talented individual.”

The evening’s program will include musical selections from Leavel’s most memorable shows performed by acclaimed Chicago theatre artists Missy Aguilar, Angela Ingersoll, Alexis J. Roston, and Sawyer Smith under the direction of Christopher Pazdernik, with music direction by Beckie Menzie. The evening, hosted by NBC 5 Chicago features reporter LeeAnn Trotter, will also feature the induction of the Sarah Siddons Society 2025 scholarship recipients.
